What Is the Bike for BGC Ride?
The Bike for BGC Ride is a community cycling fundraiser that rallies riders, teams, and volunteers around a shared goal: raising critical funds for the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County. Each year, participants saddle up and ride to help provide youth with safe, supportive after-school and summer programs.
The event brings together cyclists of all levels — from casual riders to dedicated road warriors — united by the belief that every child deserves a bright future. Riders can join as individuals or form teams, and supporters can contribute by donating directly to a rider or team of their choice.
How It Works
- Register as an individual rider or start your own team.
- Fundraise by reaching out to friends, family, and colleagues for donations.
- Ride on event day alongside fellow supporters of the Club.
- Celebrate the impact your miles and dollars make in the lives of local youth.
Why It Matters
Every dollar raised through the Bike for BGC Ride goes directly toward programs at the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County — from academic support and mentoring to recreational activities and leadership development. The ride is more than a cycling event; it's an investment in the next generation.
In 2019, the community surpassed the $500,000 fundraising goal, demonstrating the power of collective action. Learn more about the mission behind the ride on our Why We Ride page.
