The Boys & Girls Club of Dane County
The Boys & Girls Club of Dane County is the heart of the Bike for BGC Ride. Every dollar raised by riders, teams, and donors goes directly toward programs that serve local youth across Dane County. The Club provides a safe, supportive environment where young people can learn, grow, and build bright futures.
Through after-school programs, mentorship, academic support, and recreational activities, the Club reaches children and teens who need it most — helping them develop the skills and confidence to succeed in school and in life.
How the Ride Makes a Difference
The Bike for BGC Ride is more than a cycling event — it's a community-powered effort to sustain and expand the Club's reach. Funds raised help provide:
- Academic support — tutoring, homework help, and college readiness programs.
- Healthy lifestyles — fitness activities, sports leagues, and nutrition education.
- Character & leadership — mentoring, volunteer opportunities, and youth councils.
- Safe spaces — welcoming facilities where kids can be themselves after school and during the summer.
In 2019, the ride surpassed its $500,000 goal, raising over $523,000 — a testament to the generosity of this community and the shared belief in the Club's mission.
Our Shared Commitment
Every rider who pedals, every donor who gives, and every volunteer who shows up is part of something bigger. The Boys & Girls Club of Dane County has been a cornerstone for local families, and the Bike for BGC Ride ensures that vital programs continue to thrive. Together, we're building brighter futures — one mile and one young person at a time.
